With over 25 years of experience in the implementation of social activities, the SSM (Vijnana Bharati) perhaps is India’s leading NGO in the popularization of science. The SSM is the recipient of Jawaharlal Nehru Award by the Indian Science Congress Association (2005-06) and the National Award for Outstanding Efforts in Science and Technology Communication of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Jawaharlal Nehru Prize of the Government of India (2006-07).
